Esports is rapidly evolving from a niche activity to the mainstream alongside traditional sports. LeagueSpot and another Phoenix portfolio company, Collegiate Sports Management Group, announced a partnership with the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) to create NJCAA Esports – the only national esports association and first-ever national championship for two-year colleges. By starting with the collegiate market, LeagueSpot will capitalize on that market’s continued growth as esports mature and are further monetized.
